P.E Days

Our P.E. Days for Spring Term are Tuesday and Thursday. Any changes to this will be communicated via Class Dojo.

Our Class Saint

In Year 4, our class saint is St Patrick. Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. He is known as the “Apostle of Ireland”. In our class, we have been learning all about the key events in the life of St Patrick.

Our Class Charity

The charity we have chose to raise money for in Year 4 is the No Rainbows without Rain.

Homework

In KS2, we use Accelerated Reader as our reading scheme. Pupils will complete a STAR reading test in school which will give them a reading range. Pupils can choose their own reading books from within their range and should aim to read for a minimum of 20 minutes each day. Once they have completed their book, they will take a quiz in school before choosing their next book.

We use Superhero Spelling as our spelling scheme for KS2. Children will learn a spelling pattern or rule each week and will bring home 10 spellings to learn. From Spring Term onwards, weekly spellings will be set online via EdShed. More information will be communicated about this via Class Dojo

Times tables should be practised each week on TTRockstars.
