Here you will find information about your child’s learning and keep up to date with all of the exciting things we get up to in class.
If you have any worries or concerns about your child then please don’t hesitate to contact us via ClassDojo or ask to speak to an adult on the door in the morning/afternoon at drop off or pick up time.

Our Class Saint
In Year 2, our class saint is St Joseph.
Our Class Charity
We have chosen ‘North Lakes Food Bank’ for our class charity. This charity is a Christian community charity in West Cumbria.
We are going to collect donations for this charity during our Harvest celebrations in school.
PE
PE is on a Monday for Year 2 pupils. Children can come to school dressed in their PE kit. Please remove all jewellery before these sessions.
Homework
Monster Phonics Reading Book
This book is closely matched to your child’s phonic knowledge. They will have read this book three times in school. The ‘teaching’ of reading will be done in school and reading at home should be a celebration of this. This book will come home of a Wednesday and should be returned on a Friday.
School Library Book
This book is a reading for pleasure book. Your child has chosen this book from our school library. Please read together with your child and record in your child’s reading record. This book will be changed on a Friday. Don’t worry if you haven’t had chance to finish it, just bring it back when complete.
