Science

We have been learning about the features of living things. The children helped to put the picture of the living thing in the correct category. they had to decide whether it was an amphibian, a bird, a fish, a reptile or a mammal. They did a fantastic job and worked with their friends to do this independently in the activities set up around the classroom. Well done Year 1.
We have been learning about the human body and the children in Year 1 did a great job at labelling their friends body. They then worked in groups to add labels to their own body sheets.  Some children even got chance to draw their own x-ray pictures.
We have been looking at animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. We investigated some pretend animal poop and thought about which animal it may have come from and what it ate.
