North Lakes Food Bank

North Lakes Foodbank is a Christian based charity delivered by the Churches of Allerdale and Copeland. It is also part of The Trussell Trust which is founded on Christian principles. They work with people of all faiths and none, but are inspired to do what they do by Jesus’ words:

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” – Matthew 25:35-36

We are delighted to work in partnership with North Lakes Foodbank to provide food vouchers for the Holiday LunchPacks 4 Kids scheme to families who are in receipt of free school meals.  These vouchers entitle families to receive food packs during the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays.

We are fortunate, through this partnership, to be able to make E-referrals to the foodbank on behalf of families who may unfortunately find themselves in a crisis situation.  This confidential service is designed to support families and individuals in times of immediate financial hardship and unable to buy food at the point of need.  If you feel that your family is in a 'crisis situation', please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Lucie Thornthwaite via email lthornthwaite@stgregorys.cumbria.sch.uk to discuss your situation.  Please note, all enquiries will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
